Placebo has canceled their North American tour.

Suuuuuck. I understand - of course I want all of them healthy. I'm still sad, though. Keeping my fingers crossed that they can come back to the US early in 2010.

Green Day last week was AMAZING, though. So surreal to be in the same room with the band that taught me how to fall in love with music. Their music really did change my life, so getting to hear it, see it, feel it live and in person was such a beautiful experience. I almost cried a few times. XD

Did some fun baking with a friend last night to ease the pain. Check out the photos :3

Last month, my friend Natalie at Milkshake Melody had asked me to paint some of her Super Dollfie heads. I agreed and I've spent the last month working on her Unoss Aika, Michael, and MSD Mika. It was the first time I'd ever painted anyone else's dolls, but we're both happy with the way everyone turned out and I posted photos of them here.

Oddly enough, those are 3 of the dolls Nat and I have in common. XD I also have an Aika, as well as magical Michael and an F02 mini, which is the same as Mika. We both also have a Petite Ai Raphael and a Volks SD 4 Sisters doll-- I have Sara and she used to have Megu.

Speaking of my BJD, I have a new one Well, sort of. I bought a SD Mika head. I've been DYING to get a Mika for the last six years, so I'm very happy <3 I also sold my old SD girl body and now Brigitte and Mika share a new pureskin body.

I have also been geeking out over Placebo, since I am officially going to see them in Chicago on October 2nd! I made some wallpaper of each of the guys:

They're all 1280x800 and everything is aligned to the side since I'm using Windows Vista and have a sidebar. I'm currently using the Steve one <3

My life is finally going to get FUN soon. This weekend, I'm off to Kansas City for a visit with a friend, then next week I'm going to a Green Day Concert here in town and then two days after that I'm seeing Demi Lovato and David Archuleta.

Hmm, I need a new DevID. I'm really sick of using Candybar dolls and sill drawings but I don't have any recent pictures of myself. I'm also not photogenic, so it's not like I can just take some. XD Maybe I'll get my friend to take some this weekend.

Finally, one more addition to this ramble- I cleaned out about 30 deviations from my gallery yesterday. One of them was Beautifully Usable, that silly Davey/Jade slash drawing that I did in 2006. (God, I can't believe that was three years ago.) I dunno, I just felt like it was silly and dumb. It got really popular (somehow) and that just kind of bothered me since, like I said, I just feel like it's dumb. I really don't even LIKE slash; it was just a stupid doodle I came up with when I was bored in class.

So sorry if I disappointed some hardcore Javey slasher fans out there, but trust me, there's WAY better slash out there than the crappy doodles I produce.

I'm seeing Placebo in September. I can't wait!! I want to bring my Rebel to take pictures but I'm afraid of it getting broken.

...And I'm lying here in agony without my wisdom teeth! Oh, sweet Jesus. It feels like I've swallowed broken glass. I'm going back to the oral surgeon later today to see what's up. I had the surgery a week ago and it's hurting worse than ever.

I hope everyone had a good Christmas and New Year! My mom totally surprised me with a Canon Rebel XSi. I've also decided to participate in the 365 project where I take a photo every day. I will post those on my Flickr
